The Pan-African Parliament,DEEPLY CONCERNED by the political situation and the humanitarian crisis in Libya;TAKING NOTE of the installation of the National Transitional Council (NTC) and the evolution of the situation in Libya;NOTING that the African Union recognised the National Transitional Council as the legitimate Council of Libya;RECALLING the Report of its Fact-Finding Mission to Tripoli (Libya) in June 2011 which is based on its Resolution adopted during the Fourth Ordinary Session of the Second Parliament in May 2011;NOTING that its mission Report only covered the situation in Tripoli;ACKNOWLEDGING that the PAP mission was not able to meet the authorities of the National Transitional Council (NTC) in Benghazi;TAKING NOTE that the situation remains volatile;RECALLING its role of promotion of peace and security in Africa;THEREFORE RESOLVES:1.To send a goodwill and solidarity mission to Libya with a view to meet with the National Transitional Council on the evolution of the situation in Libya and inform the Plenary consequently.2.To be involved in the national reconstruction mechanisms to reinforce national unity and preserve the integrity of Libyan citizens.
