CONSIDERING the situation prevailing in the North-east of Central African Republic (CAR), particularly in the towns of Birao and Ouadda Djalle occupied by armed bands;DEEPLY CONCERNED about the loss of several human lives and the serious humanitarian crisis arising therefrom;TAKING INTO ACCOUNT the urgent need to avert any armed conflict and consult all the parties involved in the crisis prevailing in CAR;THE PANAFRICAN PARLIAMENT, pursuing its efforts in the search for a lasting solution,DECIDES:1.to send a fact-finding mission to CAR with a view to gathering first-hand information on the situation prevailing in the North-eastern part of the country; and2.submit a report to the Pan-African Parliament, for discussions, at its 7th Ordinary Session.
