Considering that the Protocol establishing the Pan African Parliament was amended in Malabo in June 2014,Observing that the Pan African Parliament has now been given Legislative powers by the Assembly,Noting that once the Protocol has been ratified by the required number of States, PAP will be required to develop and pass model laws; The Pan African Parliament decides that:1.Members of PAP shall consult with their National Legislatures during the model law making process to have the proposed model laws appreciated and accepted;2.PAP ensures that while drafting model laws, the various legal systems on the continent are taken into consideration;3.National delegations to the drafting committees of the model laws should be consistent.Midrand, 23 October 2014.
